EDDY Medical honors the accomplishments of the late Dr. Harry P. Weinrib, MD, Ph.D., the founder of Eddy Pump, through a 360-degree journey back to where it all began. Dr. Weinrib was one of the world’s leading micro-surgeons who invented, patented, and produced over 60 surgical devices. Dr. Weinrib’s brilliance led him to explore his passion and Ph.D. in fluid dynamics, which led to the creation of the EDDY Pump, used by the US military and multiple Fortune 500 companies worldwide.

Today, 35 years later, destiny has brought the EDDY Team full circle to introduce EDDY Medical. Developed through a partnership by Dr. Weinrib’s four children and leading Cardiothoracic surgeon, Dr. Sam Baradarian. In 2009, Dr. Baradarian saved Dr. Weinrib’s life by conducting an emergency Carotid endarterectomy. This sparked the utmost respect, admiration, and friendship between the Weinrib Family and Dr. Baradarian. Recently Dr. Baradarian approached the family with a concept for a new revolutionary medical technology to improve biopsies drastically. This technology has many similar properties to the industrial technology produced by EDDY Pump. It is through this friendship and breaking-edge modernization that EDDY Medical was founded. </p>
